She is beautiful, isn’t she?
I’ve been wanting to photograph some of my girl friends for a few years and during our annual girl’s getaway retreat in Tahoe earlier this month, I got my chance. I’ve also wanted to provide beautiful photos to women who haven’t had a decent photo of themselves in years…maybe since they got married…or even since High School.
Most women over 45 or so, stop enjoying having their photo taken. Why? Maybe they don’t feel as beautiful as they once did for whatever reason. Maybe they have seen too many IPhone snapshots that friends have taken and conclude that they don’t look beautiful in those photos, so they “never take good photos.” (I hear that comment a lot.)
I told my friends that they didn’t have to do this, but that I really, really wanted to give them a beautiful photo of themselves. So, they allowed me the honor of providing them with some beautiful photos. I told them “If you could see what I see”, you wouldn’t even hesitate.
I shot these photos over two days of gorgeous fall weather in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. It was such an honor for me to be able to do this.
And so, I continue to try to provide photographs to women who have not had a great photo of themselves in a long time because I want to remind them that they are beautiful.
Last, but not least, my long time friend (we’ve known each other since birth) allowed me to take her photo the other day when I was over at her house getting some photos of her and her husband. And…
Yes, they are beautiful.
