Actually, I couldn’t decided between these two shots, so I put them both in. I love taking photos of children, especially when they are just acting like kids.

Sunset on the Rainbow Trail
The Angora Ridge Fire in South Lake Tahoe occurred on June 24, 2007. It started in the forest behind our place by a campfire. It burned over 3100 acres and 242 homes. We were “lucky” that the wind was not blowing towards our home, but raced behind it and down the ridge.
Now, 4 years later I find I am drawn to this area over and over again. The vegetation is returning and there is a certain beauty in the burn.
These photos were taken by me during my walks with the dog over the summer in the burn area. I hope you see as much beauty as I have seen in the recovery of this area.
